The Trans-Am This is my 1987 Pontiac Trans-Am. It is a work in progress at the moment. The car came stock with a Tuned Port Injected 305 V8 Roller Cam Engine. The Transmission is a 700R4 Automatic, Limited Slip rear end, Air Conditioning & T-Tops. This is what the Car looked like when I bought it (March 04), I kept it parked for about 3 months. After about 2 weeks driving it, it developed a small miss, we changed spark plugs (twice), checked the distributor, wires, fuel filters, injectors, etc. Unsure about the problem we decided that it was time to tear it down and have a look just to get a wild surprise. This is what the Engine looked like. I wasn't happy with this surprise (June 04). The real catcher to this one was Bosch Platinum spark plugs suck, two sets of plugs and out of each set of 8, one had a cracked insulator, so the same cylinder wasn't missing as the set before. Tricky to diagnose.
